Airtrack

The Public Enquiry has been delayed until the Autumn. The Chamber of Commerce will continue to monitor the position and lobby for improvements to the local transport infrastructure including an underpass to replace at least one of the level crossings. For more information please visit www.egham-airtrack.co.uk

Quiz Night

The Chamber will be holding a quiz night at the runnymede-on-thames on 29 April starting at 7.30pm. Teams of up to 8 people can participate and the cost per head is £10, which includes fish and chips or a vegetarian pizza and chips. If you would like to enter a team or donate a raffle prize please contact us.

Food & Drink Day

This will take place in Egham High Street on Saturday 8th May between 10am and 4pm. We will encourage food outlets in the High Street to participate and are looking for local food producers to have a stall on the day. This is the second year we have held this event and hope to build on the successful start last year as we try and create an event for the community to enjoy. If you know anyone who is interested in having a stall please do ask them to contact us.

Egham Town Centre

We have recently seen the expansion of Tesco’s, which should provide a wider choice of produce for shoppers in the town. We have also seen the opening of the Juice Bar and we wish this new venture well. If there are any issues in the Town Centre that you feel the Chamber should be addressing please do contact us.

Network Lunches

The next network lunch will be held on Friday 30th April at The Village Bar & Grill in Egham High Street. The cost is £10 and this is a great opportunity to meet members of the local business community. We look forward to meeting you.

Magna Carta Day

This year’s event takes place in Egham High Street on Saturday 12th June. If you would like to get involved please contact Meher Oliaji at Karnak Travel.

Strode’s College

We are proud to sponsor two prizes at the College’s annual prize giving ceremony to be held on 31st March. One prize is for Excellence in Business and the other prize is for Excellence in a vocational subject.

We have also established a link with the Business Studies Department at the College that we hope will enable us to provide support and projects to inspire the entrepreneurs of the future. If you would like more details please let us know.

Membership

The strength of our argument on topics mentioned above is directly related to the number of businesses we represent and we would very much welcome your support.

If you are not already a member of the Chamber please do consider completing an application form and join us. www.eghamchamber.ork.uk/join-the-chamber
